Tajik delegation takes part in China International Friendship Cities Conference 2026

A delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan led by Deputy Foreign Minister Farrukh Sharifzoda took part in the China International Friendship Cities Conference 2026 in Xi'an. The conference reviewed inter-city cooperation in the economy, culture, tourism and sustainable development.
DUSHANBE, 29.10.2026 /NIAT “Khovar”/. A delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan led by Deputy Foreign Minister Farrukh Sharifzoda took part in the China International Friendship Cities Conference 2026, which was held in Xi'an, the People's Republic of China.
According to Tajikistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the conference considered ways to expand inter-city cooperation in the fields of economy, culture, tourism and sustainable development.
At the closing ceremony, Danghara district in Khatlon region was awarded the “Friendship City Award for Outstanding Partnership with China”. The award was presented by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the Chinese International Friendship Cities Association.
